Allah Bachaye Ghar daamaado'n say . Thought of this irks me to death as i hv seen worst cases of ghar jamayees, not wiling to leave susral's abode. This is the root cause of most social malaises . A friend of mine is feeding her sister and a jobless husband from last ten years and even raising thier kids because she is the only one who is earning a handsome amount of salary but spending on bills,diapers ,school fees , medical of thankless ghar damaad's kids .who is least bothered about going back to his well to do family. She has to do all this for the sa ke of her sister ofcourse and her bhhaanjaas but the things is the guy shud atleast realise tht its his moral obligation to raise his kids and give izzat kee roti to his iwfe. , not his susraals's duty.

Why would he want me to do that is the question. I would not like to switch the gender role and would rather prefer to run our home in a feminine manner. It really doesnt matter if men are good chefs, interior designers and baby sitters all over the world, the thing is tht a house becomes a home because of woman's personal touch.

I asked this question because there was war going on in GIQ that why it should be always woman who must have to stay home and raise kids ..Why cannot men do that? I wanted to know that will women let him do that role on full time basis?

my mother once complained that my father dont help her in household activities and next day he started helping her but she was not happy with his way of doing house work and always criticised him and he said to me that your mum complain that i am not helping her and when i start helping her then she dont appreciate what i do and say that stay away from things you cannot do

Women shud not expect their husbands to help them in households as men have to deal with pressures of job so its solely her responsibility to give him peace of mind when he comes home , but i also f eel tht responsibilities can be shared mutually if lady of the house is also bringing a paycheck. There won't be any problem of nagging if couple works as a team. I won't mind him helping me in hoovering on weekends and clearing after meal though =P

Ayesha - I agree with the part that we shouldn't expect men to help us cooking and definatly not cleaning. I have to do things over again if my hubby does it first.. Im never happy with his way of cleaning
