Khuda ke liye wasn't about music as much as it was about terrorism, from within family, to within country.
Aside from this taking place in UK, and the most similar/parallel part of Khuda ke liye taking place in America, the issue is the same. I'm not saying it's a full on copy, or anything of the sort because I haven't seen it, but I'm saying the plot certainly seems to be within the same genre.

^Hmm..well from what Ive seen, KKL isnt really about terrorism at all (even though they played out the adverts that way). Its more about 'change'. I dont think 'Mistaken' has an element of change at all. Atleast it doesnt look that way.

I'm not talking so much about terrorism as in the way the media portrays it, that's a part of it but not the whole thing. Speaking more broadly terrorism refers violence done, or threatened which the fbi/cia officials do to Shaan's character, and which Fawwad's character has done to him, as well as does to his "wife," who always is victimized emotionally by her father. The change element is also present, and I see what your saying. In this movie it seems as thought the change has already taken place, at least physically speaking.

Either that, or its about the abuse and'always a suspect' attitude that muslims face after 9/11. Thats more akin to what I got from it.
