hmmm, i didn't realize how strong of an opinion you guys have towards the show or the host........
to me, i think its an interesting concept to have, like, this persona, this character of Begum as a talk show host. there is this article i came across on BBC news site about the guy who personofies Begum,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/6111410.stmso may i ask, is it the fact that a tranvestite is being shown on tv so openly and without any kind of shame that bothers you guys or is it just a lame show that turns people off?

I caught five minutes of this show once on Ary or something but didn't think much of it. I saw an interview with Amir Saleem (Begum Nawazish Ali) on Aag Tv the other day in 'Pappu Yaar Tang Na Kar' (hosted by Ali Azmat) and i've gotta admit i do have alot of respect for him. His sexual preferences are his own business and that doesn't concern me but what he is doing or trying to achieve is commendable. He talked about looking out of the box and to supress prejudice and stereotypes in our society and culture and so far looking at some of the comments in this thread i can see his point.

hmm I heard alot about this show but didn't watch it till tonight... I saw the one with Nirma. Nawazish Ali makes lame attacks at the army and is not even that funny, he stuttered while doing another joke, while hes flirting with the dude Nirma is looking at the camera haha. and as she looks at the cam
Can someone post a link to a better episode? Maybe it wasn't his night, I'd like to see a couple other shows but if he flirts with men in all of them... why would anyone like it???

I think the show is easily the most over rated show in Pakistan...
and when he is flirting with his male guests, that really makes me sick

Well I'd like it if he was flirting with some dude (actor politician etc) I don't like... I would enjoy but if he flirts with all men and ignores the actresses/models like he did in that one I watched its just gross.

^ Thanks to Bhutto and Benazir. Their only mistake was that they tried to clear the mess created by the coward pakistani generals and their army and when their job was done they were thrown out and subject to all sorts of allegations and mockery. Bhutto and Benazir should not have accepted the power and should have left the ungrateful pakistani nation to where it was.

Funny, people still admire pakistani politicians (army is not different either). BTW, all of them owe a lot to this ungrateful nation, big time.
@Coco: The question is about their rights in Islam.

His/her style of interview is engaging, charismatic and warm.
Interesting questions, impressive guest lists.
Not bad when it comes to late night chat.
The over articulation and exaggerated "female" behaviour! i mean, no woman acts like that! its just cheesy and unreal. If he/she just left that out i think it would be much more easy to watch! damn it makes me cringe!
Whether the show has negative social implications hmmm thats debateable....it depends if your laughing with him/her or at her/him?
