Nice video showing how Taxes are collected and evaded in Pakistan. The Land where the Rich are thriving and the common Pakistani is dying. And the Ahmadis and Shiites crying. Just goes to show there are issues running all over the place. In my opinion there should be a priority list of issues. lol

Even if the taxes are collected from the rich, not the elite rich, but just the run of the mill rich. Whats the guarantee that it will not end up in some Switzerland account rather being used on the infrastructure this country needs.

There is no guarantee. There is no guarantee for the taxes anywhere actually. How many of you American's knew your money will be used to wage war in Iraq over a false pretense of WMDs?

it's the fault of stupid pakistanis who keep voting the same old *******s into office again and again.

if the biggest loser can be president, what do ya expect?

at least in the west there is some accountability to their citizens. in pakistan that is never happening.....there is no accountability.....

Quite an enlightning article:

The problem gets worse when the foriegn aid which is supposedly to be spent on the poor segment is not investigated that where it got spent.

As for taxation system, that is an open secret that the rich here simply escape from paying any taxes, the poor has to make up for thier portion too.But one biggest problem is that our country is hijecked at the hand of these landlords, even if people wish to vote them out, they can't due to non transparent election procedures and results.

If the people unite together and demand a fair shake, things can change. But the people in Pakistan accept everything without arnay resistance to the corrupt politicians, bureaucracy and justice system. People are willing to accept all this as God's will.

Pakistanis are bad managers. Bad planners. Its a blanket statement but its true. Even if people want this fixed, nobody knows how one can go about fixing it. Nobody has any step by step instruction. lol. Islamic purists would say, follow the Quran. But thats been tried before - and not everyone follows someone else's Quran.

I've been giving the problem some thought. Will have a solution soon. But its not one problem that requires a solution. Tax evasion. Tax collection. Prosecuting people who evade taxes. Swift justice. Law enforcement. These are all issues that are interconnected. And you cannot solve just one and hope the others will solve themselves too.
