Apparently there was a press conference yesterday and the names of the artists who'll be performing were revealed...
I am not 100% sure but apparently [according to the facebook group] these guys are in: Amanat Ali, EP, Noori, Overload, ADP, Karvan, Arieb Azhar, Faqir Jumman, Arif Lohar and Abida Parveen. Apparently Tina Sani, Zeb&Haniya and Sanam Marvi too (?) Karvan would be an interesting one since Assad Ahmed already played in the houseband in the previous season... Apart from that I am looking forward to Overload too, mostly because thier guitarist ditched Atif Aslam and I wanna' know whats the deal  Also Farhad Humayun (thier drummer) is so hot.Both Noori and Arieb Azhar were decent enough in season 2.. so it'll be good to see how they've notched it up this year... if they have. ...And ofcourse then there's Amanat Ali from Saregamapa... who's pretty versatile. E.P, I like 'cuz of Fawad Khan. haha. Umm... A.D.P have a few decent tracks too.. it'd be awesome if they do Raat Jaagi in coke studio. I've yet to hear Faqir Jumman.. Im guessing it'd be something sufiana/folk (yaaar dadddi anyone?) ... same with Abida Parveen. Arif Lohar is an interesting one too =p ...So yea... that's about it. I am not sure who's playing in the houseband... but Im gonna' miss Omran Shafique and Gumby if they're not in. =(  PS: first episode on 6th June. Interesting.
Tina Sani will be amazing, I'm sure. Abida Parveen too. All good additions. Farhad Humayun is pretty talented (and good-looking), but I'm not a huge fan of Overload. Who's ADP? Also, I'm sure Omran and Gumby will be around. They're both so amazing. lol I don't think A.D.P are quiet there yet to be on cokestudio either but let's see.
Also according to this ..Its not Overload that's playing but just Meesha Shafi, so yea.. Im disappointed already. =/ Noori's going to be playing with thier parents.. that should be interesting. Who're Rizwan and Muazzam? o-0 -------------------- |

 Was waiting for this since a long time.Abida Parveen Cha Gaee!  Alif Allah is tooo gooooooooooooodd!!! the hot lips singing next to Arif Lohar are also good, Meesha Shafi Oh ho! Arieb Azhar's track is smooooooooooooooth. This show is such a Kick ass endeavor! Something great coming out of Pakistan! Javed shab on voilin right at the beginning of Arieb Azhar's recitation was such a heart stir! Not really a fan of recitations but this one was well executed, nothing to complain there..
Abida Parveen was just what you would expect of Abida Parveen. Im wondering if someone can tell me whether that was a rendition of more than one of her tracks because um.. there were parts I recognized and then some that were new to me .....Alif Allah by Arif Lohar's a great one too. Still not sure about Meesha begum there..but whatevs. Arif Lohar's such a funk guy tho... his energy, the way he was enjoying himself is all so...contagious! Zeb&Haniya are probably going to rock this season better... I can sense it. Bibi Sanam's totally groovey. I love Gumby. Karavaaaannn... omzigawd. I missed Tanseer Dar's voice. -------------------- |

Alif Allah is probably my favorite from the episode. I want to hear more of Meesha to decide if I like her or not. She has somewhat of a different voice. I also really enjoyed Arieb Azhar's recitation of Na Raindee Hai. The enunciation and music and everything about it was just perfect. I need to find a translation though. It's Bulleh Shah, right?
