Religion Section Rules - READ THIS
We will be trying a new approach to the religion section. Key points:
1) All moderators now have edit/lock access in religion section.
2) All moderators can START new threads and REPLY to existing threads.
3) Members can REPLY to exisiting threads
4) Members can not START new threads. If a member want to start a discussion on a topic he or she will have to get moderator to create a new thread on their behalf and that moderator will be responsible for all content in that thread.
5) Members who try to circumvent this new system by bumping old threads will be get banned and all their posts will be set to Invisible restoring the old thread to it original state. There will be No exceptions to this rule.

Since 3 geeks are trying to impose rule of no posting..
Im intrested to know the islamic prospective behind the TEST TUBE BABIES or Babies being born by different lady, that is if one's wife is not firtile? and oh yea, Why it would be haram if it is..? |

Im intrested to know the islamic prospective behind the TEST TUBE BABIES or Babies being born by different lady, that is if one's wife is not firtile?[/quote] the idea of test tube babies.. is not from a different lady mind u.. a woman can b fertile but not able to get pregnant by natural means. due to many physiological or pathological reasons.. . so.. what they do is take the ovum from the mother and fertilize it in a test tube.. and then transfer it to the womb of the same lady.. or if the woman is unable to sustain the pregnancy.. a surrogate mum can be used.. has been done with cows.. and i am sure with humans too.. so the gametes belong to the parents.. and its fertilized outside the body.. in a test tube and then transferred to the womb.. and if man or woman are not fertile at all.. the idea of having a baby... adopt a baby... polygamy for men.. women can get divorce and marry another.. --------------------  |

Destino yaar I know how it actually works thanks for your medical prospective , but i think i mentioned in my post ISLAMIC PROSPECTIVE would it be haram to do so?

[/quote] ok.. i thought a good scientific perspective is always islamic perspective.. right.. so why do ppl get married? its an urge to reproduce.. what if one of the partners is not fertile? i.e. unable to reproduce..even with treatment.. TT babies is the treatment. its halal.. as it fulfils the basic criteria of marriage.. enables the couple to propagate.. reproduce.. ok.. and this technique will come under treatment of a disease... it will be haram when the couple use gametes either sperms or eggs from someone else to make a baby.. thats not fullfiling the criteria of marriage.. one of the partners isnt contributing in the process...so it should not be allowed...so whats the solution to this problem? if the defect is in man? the woman has every right to leave the person and remarry.. if the defect is in woman? men have options of marrying more women.. polygamy makes sense.. now the real question will be.. ok.. lets clone the baby....no need of gametes..will that be haram??????? this is a difficult one.. -------------------- |
