Alright guys i thought of making a thread where everyone can post the recent video releases from the Paki Pop scene with your comments on each of them and NO spamming please . I will start with a few i have been able to find online :

Atif Aslam - Yakeen(Jaagay Hain) (Right Click..Save Target As)

Comments: Looks like Indus music is going one step further from broadcasting videos to actually producing them now to get an edge over its competitors. This looks more like a Live performance although its not but an excellent song like this deserved a much better video but oh well who will tell this to IM. My Rating 5/10

Dino - Pari (Right Click...Save Target As)

Comments: Another one of the Indus Music productions but i think they agreed to spend some money on this one as it features their most popular VJ Dino. All in all a good song with an OK video. My Rating : 6/10

Atif Aslam - Mahi Ve (Right Click...Save Target As)

Comments: I dont know whether Atif is short on funds or if he is always in a hurry because these can be the only reasons for making such a crappy video. Trying to imitate Madonna's Ray of light Atif does most stupidest hand wavin-body shakin thats possible. Another excellent song ruined with a crappy video. My Rating : 6/10

EP - Hamesha (Right Click..Save Target As)

Comments : Quoting Guru "This video is very gothic style, a little gore, a little horror, and portrays eP at their best.

The director, Kamran Yar Kami, has done a great job on the video. It's a very different video as far as Pakistani videos go. Even the head-bashing of the band is looking amazing in this one. And there are two drummers in the vdo, which adds another level of amazement to the vdo; this trick has worked superbly. You have to see it to believe it." 8/10 as rated by Guru

King Of Self - The Video (If you prefer-->Right Click...Save Target As)

Comments: Brilliant video with a very nice concept. It was recently featured in Bandbaja's current issue and deserves every right to do so. The the two dudes from Peshawar,Sajid Ghafoor and Zeeshan Perwez, who wrote,composed and directed this song as well as the video have done an excellent job. Definitely worth checking out. My Rating : 8/10

Comments: Yet another band somehow related to Shoaib Mansoor breaks up, quite ironic i know but thats the fact. Aaroh to much of our disappointment has broken up and continue to come up with a new line up every now and then. An Ok video for a pretty good song. My Rating : 6/10

Well you woudn't find any better resolution as these sites have to put in more music videos keeping the bandwith in mind. So i guess as u said for a "deprived" soul as me i`m happy with this.

I know eh.. well aaroh hasnt really broken up, but Farooq (the vocalist) left the band and now, Schehzad Mughal is the new vocalist for AaroH..
Is there even a comparison between the two? Whatever the case, Farooq had an incredible voice. I still remember the final of the "Pepsi Battle of the Bands" (i was there, 3rd row from the stage ), Junaid Jamshed picks on him, and in an attempt to stump him, and asks him to sing this raag. And he did. Out of nowhere, he sang it.. and I was sure as hell impressed..
oh well.. why do we care.. just listen to the music.. watch the videos.. have fun.. sigh..
ok AND another piece of gossip, not sure about this one though.. but I've heard that Dino's Pari is actually stolen work. He, apparently, got it off a member of the band he was in or still is in, or whatever.. but yea, thats the story.. and why cant he just stick to his Vj-ing..

Another piece of Info for u Frozen : Schehzad Mughal has ALSO left Aaroh and now Rahat Ali is the lead vocalist left with Aaroh. Aaroh's futre doesnt look bright with all this happening. I wish them all the luck for setting up a new aaroh and coming back on track.

Yeah well i read that topic but then i was told by someone Aaroh will be fulfilling their commitments with Rahat Ali as their lead singer. I still doubt it though.

Actually Rahat Ali IS the lead singer for Aaroh, now re-named as Aazad. Who knows how long this name sticks for this time.

And Sahil i got news for u . Not only the two vdos (Dil Haray & Lamhay) has he directed, but .. he Xulfi is also the PRODUCER of Jal's album.

Oh well i mixed it up...I saw the program on tv where they were on the sets of the new Ali Zafar video so Ahsan and Amna if you say so...Jami is directing Ali Azmat's new video though with the concept of Nuclear Holocaust and life after that.

And Guru Ji Jal's Dil Haaray has been directed by Shahid Iqbal not Xulfi gotcha

Comments : The video is heavily inspired by Outkast's hey ya but Kamran Yaar Kami manages to pull it off in an impressive way. Haroon's nerdy look suits him well and the song has a very catchy tune to it after adding the bhangra bit to it. The highlight of the song for me was the guitar playing girl who seems to be a pro by the way she's imitating it and not often do u see a Paki female playing with a guitar like that My Rating : 7/10

Comments : What a way to debut..A catchy tune with a brilliantly shot video. Babar Sheikh does it again with a very simple set background of nothing but photographs. The only thing as i read somewhere these guys need to lose some weight to be rockstars My Rating : 8/10
